Named for her first book, Danica McKellar's "Math Doesn't Suck" channel on myMathUniverse features videos to help students with homework and confidence-building, and brain-strengthening math problems that can be downloaded -- and in some cases, submitted for extra credit.

Answer keys to the optional extra credit assignments are posted in the Downloads section of digits' Community Connections. Check page 79 of your Program Overview Guide for username and password access, or email digitsmath@pearson.com for more information.

Improvement to Student Navigation in Assessments

Dear digits users:

Based on feedback we received from teachers, we have created a folder that contains a version of each test in our course with the “Take a Test” mode disabled. This will allow students to be able to return to previously viewed assessment questions on each test.

These tests can be found in the Progress Monitoring folder. They are titled “Tests with Backward/Forward Navigation”. Again, these tests allow students to move within tests, so the “Save for Later” button is removed. Students close out of the test window by “x-ing” out and resuming the test at a later time.

Any test not assigned from the “Tests with Backward/Forward Navigation” will not have the ability for backward/forward navigation.

We thank you for your input, and look forward to always improving the digits program.

    New Assessment Features

New features: stop and resume tests!
Students in digits courses may now stop taking a test and return at a later time to complete it. The test is restricted so that students can see only one question at a time and may not change previously answered questions or look ahead. Students must answer a question completely before they can move on. Students returning to a timed test will have only the remaining time to complete the test; the clock does not ‘start over’. Look for these new assessment features after 12:00 noon EST on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.
